The Department of Education’s rollout of the Strengthened Senior High School Program reaffirms its commitment to providing learners with real-world skills and experiences. Within the Academic Track, the Field Experience cluster offers students an immersive and hands-on approach to learning, particularly in the fields of arts, design, creative production, and research.
This cluster includes specialized apprenticeships such as Arts Apprenticeship in Literary Arts, Theater, Dance, Music, and Visual Media, where students learn directly from industry practitioners and hone their artistic skills through active participation and mentorship. Subjects like Creative Production and Presentation and Design and Innovation further encourage students to conceptualize, develop, and showcase original creative works, strengthening both their technical skills and creative thinking.
Field Exposure (In-Campus and Off-Campus) experiences provide opportunities for students to engage in real-life environments, whether through school-organized exhibits, performances, or internships with external partners. These activities enhance learners' understanding of professional practices and community engagement. Finally, the inclusion of Research Methods equips students with fundamental research skills essential for academic inquiry, critical analysis, and creative development.
