Learning Activity Sheets for Effective Communication Term 2
Effective Communication is one of the newly integrated core subjects designed to streamline senior high school learning by reducing total core subjects down to five foundational areas.
Rather than treating communication skills as isolated academic units, Effective Communication merges competencies from previous standalone language courses (such as Oral Communication, Reading and Writing, and Media and Information Literacy) into a cohesive, practice-driven learning experience required across all tracks and strands.
The subject shifts away from pure theoretical grammar or isolated essay-writing. Instead, it develops communication across spoken, written, and multimodal forms (digital media, presentations, infographics, and podcasts).
Along with its counterpart subject Mabisang Komunikasyon, Effective Communication serves as the primary gateway to ensure Grade 11 and 12 graduates possess functional, real-world communicative competence—preparing them directly for tertiary education, TVET skills application, and employment standards.
